Volt was found at Korean city shelter, where he had lived for a long time without a chance for rescue due to lack of space. When his health began to deteriorate rapidly with significant weight loss, he was urgently rescued.
* Interaction with People: Volt is initially shy but allows gentle touches. Once he warms up, he becomes very affectionate, always staying close and wagging his tail enthusiastically in the mornings. Although getting comfortable with strangers takes him some time, a slow and steady approach helps him open up.
* Interaction with Dogs: Calmly approaches dogs of similar or smaller size. May become intimidated by larger dogs and avoid them. They can be jealous, so careful supervision is needed around other dogs.
* Interaction with Cats: He is slightly fearful of cats, so careful interaction is necessary, but he does not show aggression.
* Separation Anxiety: Very attached to people; tends to howl and bark for about 20-30 minutes after family members leave but is currently undergoing training to manage this behavior. He can stay quiet if kept at a distance from strangers.
* Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty. Rarely makes a mistake indoor.
* Hygiene: He enjoys being brushed and tends to doze off during grooming sessions. He cooperates well during baths. He is not used to tooth brushing but is currently getting accustomed to having his mouth handled.
* Walking: The dog enjoys walks but can pull on the leash when excited or encountering large dogs, sometimes barking if frightened.
* Car Sickness: Initially restless but settles down and can fall asleep after a while.
* Intelligent Volt can perform tricks like 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'wait,' 'give paw,' and 'hello'!
* Possessive over toys, may bark if other dogs approach while he's playing, requiring attention to manage his behavior.
❗Health Status❗
Finished heartworm treatment(needs to be rechecked on January 2025)

All our dogs fly from South Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized so the adopters cannot go through "meet and greet."

Please hold our dog's hands so that they can forget about the painful past and live happily.

More about this rescue
ADOGS(Adopt Dogs), a non-profit organization, is an abandoned dog foster/adoption organization launched by an individual volunteer group that has rescued, fostered, adopted dogs since 2018.
We are conducting rescue, foster, adopt from South Korea rural shelter. We also rescue dogs irregularly from illegal dog farms or any other places that need help.
We rescue large and small dogs of all breeds, including dogs with special needs.
Although we can't save all abandoned dogs in the world, we are doing our best to the dogs in front of us so that their lives can be changed like any other pets.
In expanding our search for adoption leads, we’ve broadened our mission: To bring at-risk dogs across the Pacific to loving stateside families.
Due to limited demand for large-breed dogs in Korea, arranging for local adoption has proven almost impossible. Instead, we seek to bring these persecuted dogs to the United States where dogs have a higher chance for adoption and survival.
