Meet Moxie!
This adorable girl was found as a stray by the local shelter. Due to overcrowding and the severity of her medical conditions, she didn’t have much time.
Moxie is clearly incredibly emaciated. If that wasn’t bad enough, she has some pretty horrendous pressure sores. These ailments are likely a result of being left in a crate for an extended period of time, likely without food or water.
Despite taking on Olive (another intensive medical case) less than a week ago, we knew we had to help this sweet girl. The past few days we’ve been desperately searching for a foster.
Thankfully, yesterday, our prayers were answered. We were contacted by an amazing new foster, willing to take on the care for Moxie. We aren’t lying when we say fostering saves lives!
Last night our precious girl arrived at her new temporary home. She met her foster siblings and is doing great! Moxie has a long road ahead of her, but we can all take comfort in knowing she’ll never be treated like this EVER again.

Moxie is looking great! She’s come a long way. From an emaciated pup with pressure sores, to a brave girl learning the ropes of her new life!
Recently Moxie tried a new home, and due to no fault of her own, it didn’t work out. She’s looking for a foster home or home of her own! We don’t want her to have to stay at our shelter for long.
Moxie is 3 years old and is good with other dogs and cats. She’s a little nervous here in her new environment, but she’s doing a good job trusting us to keep her safe! She loves to give kisses and does happy taps when she sees you coming.
