Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Physicist Ophi (Pronounced Oaf-eye, named after the constellation Ophichius) knows that a body in motion remains in motion. He bolts into his cat tunnel, then stops abruptly so the tunnel keeps sliding across the floor. He zooms back and forth with his foster brothers. The movement of hair ties across a smooth floor is a current research interest.
But science also requires quiet reflection and observation. This Ophi does from his cat tree at the window where he contemplates the results of his own experiments and quietly observes the mechanics of flight by watching the birds and the effects of gravity by watching falling leaves.
Ophi likes to tell people about his scientific findings using meows, trills, and purrs. He also trills a lot when he’s playing with other cats, apparently offering advice on the correct vectors to take when attacking a random toy.
Ophi is very affectionate and likes to snuggle near people and sometimes under the blankets. He also likes other cats. He’s got a lot of love and energy and would be a great addition to your home’s scientific research team. If your team has an opening, please contact….
If you live in Chicago and are interested in learning more about Ophi, please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com and Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com. Please tell us a bit about your situation, what you are looking for, the composition of your current household (the other humans and/or pets who already live there). Inquires with these questions answered are responded to promptly.
We are always in need of foster homes. If you are not able to adopt, but are interested in fostering or know someone who might be, we would love to hear from you!
