My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bennie, a handsome 17 pound, 3 year old Yorkie Mix who is being fostered in Leander, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.
Bennie is a healthy, super happy and well adjusted 17 lb. Yorkie mix that is house trained and delightful. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, and ready for his forever home!

He has only been in foster a few days, but has quickly settled into the routine with his 2 foster brothers. He loves walks and gets excited when you pick up his leash or mention walk. He is energetic and loves to play, enjoys being outside, exploring and chasing squirrels as long as you are outside with him. He is not needy, but likes to be with people or the pack. He also loves snuggling beside you or resting near you if you are working from home. He gets along well with other dogs (not sure about cats). Bennie came to us from a shelter. He is approximately 3.5 years old, but has puppy energy and learns quickly. Weve taken Bennie on several walks around the neighborhood, to the hike and bike trail, Zilker Park and to a patio restaurant where he met a few curious children. Being a new foster, we cautiously let Bennie say hello and he was very friendly and well behaved. He was matted when we received him, but he was calm and seemed to like his baths and tolerated grooming. Ideally, Bennie would do best in a home where his owner has time to spend with him and take him on long walks and where he is not left alone all day.
