Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cookie is our stunning, one of a kind beauty who will need a one of a kind person. As you can see in her video she really likes her catnip. She also really loves her foster mom and is always near her and cuddling with her, even under a blanket. Cookie is very possessive of her foster mom so she will not greet you with an arched back and happy tail. It took three days for her to warm up to her foster mom. Now, Cookie doesn't let her out of her sight.
We do believe that Cookie has 'only kitten syndrome'. This happens to some kittens when they are taken away too young from their mom and are not around other cats. Mama cats are excellent mom's. They are so loving and they discipline their kittens and show them proper behavior. It's best that kittens stay with their mom's until they are eight weeks old. That's if they are not outside rescues, of course. In that case it's best to get them in as soon as possible to keep them out of danger and to socialize.
Cookie does need a home because we can't afford to loose any foster homes. Adopting her would open a spot for a new rescue. That means you are really rescuing more than Cookie. We have kitties on the cold streets that need to come in.
Please fill out an application for our beautiful girl at our website www.hucatrescue.org. You will get a kick out of her and lots of entertainment.
YOU ARE INVITED TO OUR MEET & GREET THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 21ST.
WE WILL BE AT PETCO, 188 KITTS LANE, NEWINGTON, CT. USING THE NORTH SHORE ANIMAL LEAGUE VAN.
THE HOURS ARE FROM 1:00-3:00 PM.
PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE PRIOR TO THE EVENT. THANK YOU!

Additional adoption info
The first step to our adoption process is to fill out our quick and easy online application that is found on our website. From there our adoption counselor will call you to go over it with you and talk about any concerns that you may have.
We collect a tax deductible donation of $100 to offset medical costs that we provide the kittens. Those costs include: flea control, internal parasites treatment and age appropriate vaccines. We also provide them with a wellness checkup and testing for FeLV and FIV.
Young adults and kittens that are fully vetted are $250. Seniors, special needs and bonded pairs have a reduced donation.
If you have any questions the fastest way to reach our adoption coordinator is through email. Thank you!

Our pets are in private homes and our foster families are flexible and happy to accommodate to your schedule. Since they are private homes, you do need to fill out an application before going for a visit. We have public showings and adoption event for those who prefer to come and meet our kitties that way first.

More about this rescue
Hearts United Cat Rescue is comprised of a group of families united by our passion and dedication to help homeless cats. We do not have a physical shelter, but instead work out of a network of foster homes throughout the central Connecticut area where the fostered cats and kittens are treated like members of the family.
The cats remain in their foster homes until they find their permanent, committed and loving families. While being fostered they learn what it is like to be part of a family.
