My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1/18/24 - IVE BEEN ADOPTED!
Adoption Fee: $350
Age: 5 years
Weight: 7 lbs.
Fostered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Email: bryorkiemom@yahoo.com

1/8/24 - Since birth, I was owned by a bad breeder, locked in a crate most of the time and was owned by someone who only looked at me for money purposes. Now, I would consider myself a spiritual gal, but I have to admit that my faith in the human race was diminishing daily. But I desperately tried to hold fast to that which is good. And one day, this came to me:

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (Romans 8:28)

And just like that, with my love for God, this was put to work. A nice lady took me in, despite her own health conditions, just to save me from my previous unfortunate situation. After saving me, she reached out to Yorkie Haven Rescue to complete her part in my saving.

Hi everyone, my name is Vada. This is the only thing my previous owners did correctly for me. Giving me my name. It stands out and is beautiful. It has many different meanings from different origins, but some of the most memorable for me are – discussion, high cliff, evening, knowledge, ruler. Wow, I can see God’s plan for me coming through even in the name I was given 5 years ago. 😊

Once I made it to my foster home, I went to the beautician and then I had a vet appointment to get the works. I had a dental cleaning, and lost a few teeth that needed to be let go, I received shots, got bloodwork done, a heartworm test (which was negative), was spayed and they removed of a HUGE hernia that I have had for most of my life and I just thought it was part of me. Apparently not. It’s gone! After all this, I felt GREAT!

Now my foster mom and I are learning about my personality, since I’m able to have one now. Seems I am good around small dogs and love to play with them. It took me a minute to understand, but seems the human bed isn’t just for humans. I’m speechless! I’m eating great, twice daily. Here’s one that blows my little mind…. When foster mom leaves the house for any amount of time, I’m allowed to stay out free in the WHOLE HOUSE.

I love my foster mom, but actually I love all people. Anyone who will pay attention to me, I will pay attention to them. There are toys here and they are so much fun. I especially like the ones that squeak. A surprise for everyone, I am going on the potty pads that foster mom has out. This is when she is busy and I have to go. But I will definitely go outside when taken. However, I do make mistakes sometimes. I’m good on a harness and leash, but would love a fenced in back yard for my new fur-sibling (hint, hint) and I to run around and chase each other in.

I am a people person and loves to be held, sit in your lap, lay beside you, give and receive kisses, etc. I’m 100% in for a committed relationship. But there are times that I can just go lay down by myself and let you have some space. This would make me the perfect girlfriend. I’m not a huge barker, but foster mom says that when I do, it is a squeaky bark. I’m possibly imitating my toys. I’m ok with taking medicine and like being brushed.

I’d like to close my bio with what I know to be true: “To earn God's blessing, we must persevere during challenging times. When we face trials, it's an opportunity for us to grow in our faith and to show that we trust in His perfect timing.” Take this and let it resonate. Do with it what you wish. I did, and I know that I am now on the path to my perfect life!
