Here's what the humans have to say about me:
To adopt go to spokanewienerdogs.org and see our To Adopt page.
Griffin is about 4 years old and a stray who came from another rescue. Griffin is terrified but he is slowly coming around. We catch him with a blanket and a treat so is liking that. He is special needs because of being scared so no kids in the home please. He needs someone who will take a year and work with him.
One of my personal dogs came in this scared and he mellowed into one of the best dogs ever. We also took him places and handed treats to folks who could kneel down and give him treats so he stopped looking at people as scary and started thinking they were treat bags.
If you have time and patience then this cutie needs you. We will start having volunteers come and help socialize him soon.
He came in a bit round so is on a diet and doing well there.
We are guessing a dachshund mix with his short legs.
We are taking him in to get neutered and his rabies so he can be adopted. Until he is adopted we are still working with him until placed.
He does get along other dogs and likes them. People are the ones who let him down.
He is crate trained and is very quiet. This is not a yappy dog. I have not heard him bark once since arriving.
Because he is so scared he will need a fenced yard in town or in the country. He can never be let loose unless a secure, fenced area in case he gets scared again.
