HISTORY:
Katie came to us from an Animal Control facility.

ABOUT:
Katie’s foster says she is affectionate, snuggly, playful, sweet, and quiet. She loves pets and attention, but prefers slow, gentle, calming pets, vs energetic ones. Katie even enjoys being held. Katie’s foster mom works from home, and she loves to warm her lap during long, boring meetings. Katie has likely been fed table food in the past, as she is always lingering about being hopeful during meal times.

Katie is generally a low energy gal, but on occasion she enjoys playing with laser pointers, wand toys, and catnip toys. When Katie is left alone she enjoys passing her time with frequent naps and window watching. Katie enjoys the relaxed, calm pace in her foster home, but she is confident enough that things like the vacuum or fireworks don’t send her running for cover. Her foster says Katie even enjoys a snooze in her carrier here and there.

Katie is being fostered with a child, but because she can love nip when she gets overwhelmed with pets, we think mature children who are at least 14 years old will be best for her. Katie is being fostered with other cats, but she is kept in a room of her own. She hisses at them when she catches a glimpse when the door is open, so we think she would be happiest as the only cat in the home. Katie’s foster home does not have any dogs so we don’t know if she would appreciate living with a dog.

Katie is front paw declawed.
