Here's what the humans have to say about me:
When we were trying to trap a dog in our community, we saw a cat on the trail cam taking advantage of the free food in the trap. After a few nights, on December 30th, at 2:30 in the morning, the cat went far enough into the trap to get herself caught. She looked like an Isabelle to us and to several of our rescue followers - so we named her Isabelle.
The vet said Isabelle is 12-18 months old. Although she is very small – 5 1/2 pounds – she is otherwise healthy and has adjusted quickly. Within a few days, Isabelle was cautiously exploring our house. She shows no aggression toward us or toward our two adult male cats.
Although she is quite vocal and wants affection, she still finds quiet spaces for her daily naps. Because she is so affectionate we believe she had positive human contact in her past.
We posted her locally on lost pet sites and checked with the Animal Shelter to see if anyone reported her missing. After the mandatory five-day hold time, we had her FIV/FeLV tested (negative for both), spayed, and vaccinated.
Although Isabelle loves and seeks affection, we believe she will do best in a quieter home, probably without small children. She will certainly make a good companion to another cat or kitten. It is a joy to watch her learn to trust us, so we’re looking for an adopting home where she can continue her journey - a home where she is warm, safe, and loved.
Please note we do not adopt on a first come, first served basis. We always look for the best fit for our rescues and for the adopters. The adoption fee of $150 covers all medical intervention and fostering care to this point, FIV/FeLV testing, deworming, vaccinations, and spay/neuter with a partner vet.
To set up a visit, drop me a note at cherylsferalsandfosters@gmail.com or PM me. If you are considering adopting, please fill out and submit the adoption contract found in The Adoption Process link on my website (cherylsferalsandfosters.com). In the meantime, you can follow her journey on Facebook: Cheryl’s Ferals and Fosters Chat Group. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) rescue.
