If you like your dogs big, then we have one for you. Scoops came to Pet Friends from Animal Control after being picked up as a stray who was roaming town along with another dog.. After getting to know Scoops, it is huge mystery why anyone would abandon a dog this sweet. Despite her size, she is quite shy and skittish around people she has never met, but once she learns to trust you, Scoops is a love bug who craves human companionship. It also seems obvious that she has not been exposed to much of the world so she could use a patient owner who will slowly introduce her to new experiences in order to build Scoop's self-confidence. In the spirit of full disclosure, Scoops is likely a pure-bred or partial Mastiff, so drool should be expected! She seems good with other dogs, knows some basic commands and walks well on a leash. Come and meet Scoops - she will steal your heart in a big way.

Adoption application, requiring vet check, landlord check.
Adoption contract requiring pet be returned to us if adopter can not keep. Cats are adopted as INDOOR ONLY and declawing is prohibited.

Go meet their pets

Our dogs are available to meet the public on the first through fourth Saturdays of each month at Carwen's Boarding, Grooming, and Training Center, 101 Buttermilk Hollow Road, North Huntingdon, PA, from 11 until 2. They can also be met by appointment by adopters whose applications have been approved.

Our cats are all housed in foster homes. Meet and greets can be scheduled to meet available cats and kittens. We regularly host meet-a-pet events - check our Facebook page for information.
