Here's what the humans have to say about me:
es to sit with his person and get snuggles. He loves his person so much, he has to have someone sit beside him when he eats his food. Geno was his 84-year-old owner's only family, and she loved him very much. When she went into a nursing home, we were contacted and took him into the rescue. Tyson's Place Animal Rescue's mission is to assist terminally ill people with finding new families for their pets, including those going into nursing homes.
Although Geno has lived successfully with small dogs, he would love to be the center of attention in your world. He loves his people! He walks well on a leash and enjoys being outside. We think he would love a fenced yard if possible so he can get extra fresh air time, but a fence is not a requirement. He is mostly housebroken but has a few accidents because he isn't great about communicating when he needs to go outside, so he needs an owner who gets him on a good routine of letting him outside consistently until a routine is established.
He has super short little legs - so he really struggles with stairs. A home with little or no stairs would be ideal. Geno weighs 20 pounds. He is a longhair doxie mixed with something else - we aren't sure - corgi? aussie? He is an interesting little guy, that's for sure. When he went to the groomer, he was very popular!
Geno's owner struggled to care for herself, so she wasn't able to get Geno to the vet. He had his first vet visit the day we picked him up, and now he is current on vaccinations, microchipped, had full bloodwork, had a fecal check and urine check, and is completely healthy. He gets neutered on January 10th.
