PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY -
If you are interested in adopting DOLLY please go to our website at www.floridayorkierescue.com and complete the online adoption application.
Dolly had a horrific beginning in her short life... she was found in a dumpster here in Palm City laying near her two deceased litter mates. She was barely clinging to life when a Good Samaritan found her and got her medical help immediately. We received her the following day. The Vet thought at the time she was 4 weeks old and she weighed a tiny 11 ounces. She had a small eye injury (was treated by a Veterinarian eye specialist and is healed now. No permanent eye damage). Her back legs were also very weak from poor nutrition but they work perfectly now.
She is now 12 weeks old and weighs a healthy 3.6 lbs. She is an adorable puppy. We currently have her in an X-Pen where she has her pee wee pads and her bed, water and food (which she loves). She sleeps in it at night and plays during the day but is let out to join the family and other dogs many times per day. She needs to learn her boundaries around other dogs because right now she is very playful but another small young dog would suit her well. She is such a wonderful little girl, loving, spunky, hearty, playful, loves cuddle time and can be a couch potato when she is worn out. Not to mention how beautiful she is!
Because of her tiny size we will not adopt to a family with small children under the age of 12. No exceptions.
She is micro-chipped and has had her first round of vaccinations but you will be responsible for the next set of vaccinations as well as having her spayed at the appropriate time and we will check with your Vet that this has been done.
