My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blue came to us as a neglect case 7/15/2023. The case is still ongoing so we cannot say much about it but we are willing to let potential adopters know the history to understand him better. We have spent the past many months gaining his trust and working with him. He's doing really well and our small kennel cannot offer him the time and attention a forever home could. We would love to find him a place to live out the rest of his life being the lovable Heeler we all know him to be. He would do best with an experienced adopter that knows the breed and is willing to help him overcome some hurdles from his previous trauma.
He is very food motivated and we have used that to help gain trust with him. Unfortunately due to being less active than he should be, he has also put on the pounds while with us. We do believe once he is in a home and getting the exercise and job he so desires his "Freshman15" will come right off.
He also is wary of strangers so potential adopters would need to be willing to meet him multiple times to gain some trust with him. He really is a delightful loving dog to those of us he has opened up too and we want him to have a chance at life out of the kennel.
