Meet Kizzy!
Kizzy is a miniature Poodle looking for her perfect home. She is as sweet as they come. She is 19 pounds and 15” at the shoulder. She just turned 7 years old in November. She has gotten along with the three other poodles in her foster home. She loves her walks and has done well passing other dogs. She loves car rides and rides quietly in her crate in the car. She is a fantastic eater. She is on a one protein low fat food and needs to stay on that type of food as she has mild pancreatitis and does very well on that type of food. This food does cost about $95.00 a month for her at this time. She is housebroken, she loves to be with her people. In her foster home she has been in an x-pen next to the bed and doesn’t complain about it. She is calm, quiet (but will bark if someone comes to the door) and happy. She would do well with a family that is home most the day, and seems she would do well with or without other dog companions. We do not know how she is with cats, but do know she will chase rabbits out of the yard. She can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She understands the word “No!” and will stop whatever she is doing when she hears that.
She is excellent when she is being groomed. She does have a natural tail. She would be best in a home that appreciates Poodles. She will make an excellent companion for someone.

Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. Adoption donation is $450.00 to help cover his neuter, daily care, vetting, etc.

THIS DOG IS IN FOSTER CARE IN POULSBO, WA. MEET AND GREETS WILL TAKE PLACE THERE AS WELL.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION:

- Securely and visibly fenced yard
- Sturdy/safe crate, due to the safety hazard wire crates will be not be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate).
- Western Washington (WA), and possibly Northern Oregon locations at caseworker discretion. No other out of state adoptions at this time.

1. Once the application is received it will be reviewed by that animals caseworker.

2. If your application is seen as a good fit to the pet you are applying for we will request photos of your fenced yard as well as your current crate or the crate you plan on purchasing.

3. Once received we will schedule a phone interview with you to discuss the pet and the next steps, should a match be seen.

Dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, vaccinated for Parvo Distemper and generally are micro chipped. (3) You must be at least 18 years of age to complete the application or to apply to adopt a companion animal. For the safety of children and dogs and limited information on dog the dogs interaction with children- R.E.D generally prefers/requires children in adoptive home to be approximately 5 or 6 years of age and up unless otherwise noted in the dog profile. All children must be behavior appropriate with animals. (4) R.E.D. does not a ship animals to out of state adopters.
