Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bowie is 3.5 years old and weighs 7.9 lbs.
This little guy was abandoned on the streets of a Texas small border town. A lady found him in an emaciated state and tried for weeks to find him a home by posting him as "free to good home" on social media. No one would give him a chance. Luckily, a shelter staff member saw the posting and was concerned for his safety so the shelter took him in right away. He was extremely thin and malnourished when he first arrived at the shelter and barely weighed 5 lbs. In no time, he gained almost 3 lbs.
When Bowie first came in to the shelter, he was a shy boy and it was obvious that he had had a very rough life. He was scared of new things but with patience and time, he felt the love and became the sweetest boy, a true little gem. He gives the sweetest little kisses and will snuggle into your arms just longing for security and comfort. He is a true lap dog. H Bowie holds no grudge towards any humans for his past experience at the hands of cruel owners. He has an excellent temperament all around and gets along well with people of all ages, other dogs of any size and cats too. Such a courageous little trouper! Because he is small, we will only consider families with children over 12 years of age (if any).
Bowie is housebroken, he has even learned to use peepads so he is an excellent candidate for apartment/condo living, he is leash and crate trained. Such a little gem!
PS
When it is time for dinner or to get a special treat. Bowie has the cutest little dance he does. He gets very excited when he knows that he will be fed: he stands on his hind legs and balance and then does circles round and round to show his happiness.
Bowie has come such a long way in such a short time.. He mwill make a great family companion and is so deserving of the good life ahead. His longing for human love and attention is so evident as he returns it ten folds.
