My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lydie, the vivacious 2 year and 7 month old, terrier mix, weighing 16 pounds. This energetic bundle of joy is always on the lookout for her next thrilling adventure. Lydie loves the freedom of running around and exploring her surroundings, making every day an exciting journey.

Lydie is currently in the process of mastering potty training and leash walking. Lydie's making great strides with leash training but needs a family willing to help her perfect potty training. Lydie is dog-selective and needs slow cautious introductions to new dogs. She would do best with a family experienced with such behavior. Lydie is an escape artist at heart, she has a knack for climbing fences and slipping through small spaces. For this reason, Lydie would thrive best in a patient and dedicated home that can provide the time and effort needed to address her training and behavior requirements.

A household with older, energetic kids would suit her well, and she prefers to be the only pet in the home. If you're ready for a dynamic companion and have the patience to guide her, Lydie is ready to bring excitement and joy to your life!

Lydie's adoption fee is $150

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
