My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there, my name is Ripley! I'm a friendly gal looking for a home of to call my own, and by that, I mean that I'd like to be your only cat. I've never been around a dog so I'm not sure what I think about them. All humans are wonderful, they feed me, give me pets & provide me hours of entertainment. You'll notice I have a clipped ear; that's because I was a little gal found in a cat colony and when I was spayed, it wasn't known if I would prefer to be adopted or to go back to my 'hood'. Turned out, I enjoy the indoor life with a comfy bed, good food & lots of attention. I'm playful & like to chase a laser, swat toys around & hunt down any toy on a stick waved around by my human. If you are looking for a gorgeous gal that could be the light of your life, I may just be the one for you! Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
