Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet one of the Top Gun pups. We were asked by animal control to rescue four pups because they were in a bad situation and the only way the shelter could take them would be to euthanize others who had been there a long time. We made some emergency space for them to prevent that from happening, and then went to work on trying to get these sweet pups ready for forever homes.
At this point they are at a boarding facility so still have not had the chance to learn about living in a home. They are house-trained to a doggy door, but will likely need help to learn how to tell you when they need out. Our experience has been that older dogs (especially ones who have only lived outside) pick it up very quickly because they are used to pottying outside, not inside.
There are two girls (Charlotte and Penny) and two boys (Goose and Maverick.) We were told they were six month old Shepherd mix pups. However, when we took them to the vet, they believe the girls are about a year old and the boys are about 8 months old.
The pups do not seem to have had a lot of human interaction while growing up as, except for Penny, they are very timid. Penny is friendly and excited to see people and plays great with other pups in doggy daycare but will likely still be a bit timid initially and will need leash training. Charlotte, Goose and Maverick are much more shy and will all need adopters with the patience to help bring them out of their shells. All are very sweet and not aggressive at all, but are fearful, so will need time and someone with the willingness to help them learn trust and love. The timid pups especially, we believe, would probably do best with a confident adopter who also has a confident dog to show them the ropes, or at least an adopter experienced with bringing a shy pup around.
If you are interested in meeting this sweet pup, please email us at jojosdogrescue @gmail.com and we will send you an application, or download one from our website www.jojosdoghouse.com. Adoption fee is $250 and includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, and parasite treatment and prevention. Thanks for choosing adoption!

We are foster based, so meet and greets are set up after approval. Email applications to jojosdogrescue@gmail.com
2.
Approve Application
We are pretty much a two-person operation, but usually our application review process is fast -- often the same day as received.
3.
Meet the Pet
With application pre-approved, adopters are able to take a pup home from their meet and greet if they are ready and the pup is old enough
Additional adoption info
We have an application process and we will check vet and personal references (usually takes only 1-2 days). There is also an adoption contract and fee which helps to cover vet and other expenses. The contract is designed to ensure the dog is cared for in all ways and if you are ever unable to care for the dog, re-homing is approved by us. If the dog is too young to be spayed/neutered before going home, you will also sign a document committing to having the dog fixed and the rescue will follow up.
