According to legend, if one rubs the Buddha’s belly, it will bring good luck, happiness, and prosperity. We’re pretty sure rubbing our Buddha’s belly (or his ears, which he particularly loves), will do the same! You’ll be lucky to have this sweet senior in your life, happy to have him as your best friend, and rich in doggy kisses!!
Buddha first came to the shelter earlier this year and immediately started winning hearts. In his former home of six years Buddha reportedly did well with other dogs and with kiddos. He was housebroken and crate trained and was described by his person as playful, affectionate, and loveable. He likes care rides, loves toys, and is a smart guy who knows tricks like sit, paw, and roll over.
Buddha spent a couple of months in a foster home where he was again housebroken, slept next to his foster person at night, and loved to play with toys and people. He was described as friendly, cuddly, and energetic- this old man still has pep in his step! He may benefit from crate training in his future home.
Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said:
“Buddha is definitely hard to resist with his adorable looks and his big, goofy personality. He’s an exceptionally friendly, playful, and loving dog who absolutely adores being with people. Buddha is sweet and social, and he certainly does not act like a senior- he has plenty of pep in his step! He eagerly approaches anyone who wants to meet him with his tail going. ready for attention. He especially likes it if you show up with snacks and will gladly show you all his skills!”
Buddha has been social and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup and would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask to rub the Buddha’s belly today!!
