Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Scrappy is cute as a button, he appears to be a terrier mix, maybe a cockapoo? or a something-poo.
While he is cute AF, he is also a bit of a sh!t. He is WILD. He is young (9-12 months?). He has the energy of the solar system. He needs an owner who is committed to putting him on a schedule and enforcing boundaries (no getting on furniture, ignoring undesirable behaviors like jumping and pawing, rewarding desirable behaviors like sit and settle, etc). He would do best with a fenced in yard to get out his zoomies.
This hairy doofus was reluctantly returned from his first trial adoption because he was too wild, jumping and pawing a LOT. He's been in an unofficial board & train at a different (and much more regimented) foster for the past week and has made unbelievable strides in just a short time.
We are currently NOT wanting to match Scrappy with a home with children because he's going to need rigid boundaries and training for the first few weeks-to-months, and most kids aren't the best at being consistent with training. Scrappy loves to play with other dogs, but he would need monitored play - as he will never. stop. playing. (He would drive an older dog crazy).
Know this: Scrappy's current "issues" are all to be expected from an adolescent pup who has gone through a VERY chaotic past few months. In addition to his nuclear cuteness, he is smart as a whip and desperate to please. He is very friendly, house trained, and is comfy in his crate, chomping on a bone or toy. He's going to be a great dog, but just needs consistency and training to help him along.
Scrappy is about 20 lbs, and appears he will need grooming (has 'hair' instead of 'fur').
