Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A shelter favorite, Sky's mission is to treat every day as a new adventure and is looking for her perfect partner-in-crime (of the good kind!). She loves playing with squeaky toys, and don't even get her started about how much fun it is to go on walks!

Sky is happy, squishy faced and beautiful! Hobbies: Howling at the moon, giving you sad eyes for treats, and long ear scratches. Sky is a playful pup with a face that'll melt your heart. Our Volunteers at the shelter get a kick out of Sky's "side eye" as they call it.

Sky is 3 years old and has some energy! She loves to play with toys and will entertain herself if you can't at the time! She seems house trained as she keeps her kennel clean.

We believe she would do well in most homes with proper introductions!

Skye is not in the main public section of the shelter, so be sure to ask for her by name if you come to visit her!

All adoptions must be done in person. Prospective adopters must meet the pet and complete the adoption application and questionnaire during the initial visit to our shelter at 2802 W Central Park Ave, Davenport, IA.

The Humane Society of Scott County (HSSC) has been an advocate for the humane care of all animals in Scott County, Iowa, since 1902.

An average of 500 pets arrive at the HSSC each month. About 80% come to us as strays and the rest are surrendered by owners who can no longer keep or care for their pets.

The HSSC is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization funded entirely by donations, adoption fees and a fee charged to the city and county for the care of the animals.
