Sandy is a 1.5 year old Calico Turkish Van mix’ with a mostly white body accented by a black/orange ‘zorro’ mask over her white face, a black/orange patch on her back, and a mostly black tail. She has soulful eyes, long white whiskers, and a pink nose. Sandy was found homeless on the street with an injured eye. Her Vet tried to save her eye but could not, and she lost the sight in that eye. However, that does not deter her from doing the normal ‘Cat activities’ and this does not slow her down. Sandy is good with children and babies and gets along very well with the Dogs in her foster home. She is still learning to trust people and is OK with being held for short periods of time. Sandy knows her name and comes when she’s called. She will follow her people around the house and enjoys being with them. Sandy is a talker with lots of stories to tell, especially when it’s close to meal time. She loves to play with unconventional playthings; her favorite toys are her foster’s fuzzy slippers that she will steal and hide, and empty toilet paper rolls. Sandy also plays with the laser pointer until she tires herself out. She is a sweet girl who will be so happy when her new family finds her.
