My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tommy, he's around 3 years old, and a heartthrob with cheeks so plump they're practically begging for a squeeze! Tommy is a warrior in his own right, rocking the FIV/FeLV positive badge with style. Tommy is a bit shy at first since he doesn't trust strangers (his parents taught him that I'm sure ). But don't let that fool you; he's a bundle of love and playfulness just waiting to charm his way into your heart. Tommy is here to defy the stigma surrounding FIV/FeLV, showcasing his robust health and radiating love as a testament to the many hopeful good years ahead of this resilient hunk of feline! Tommy loves playtime and still has a lot of his kitten personality left! His energy is contagious, and you'll find yourself eagerly joining in on the fun! Tommy's Kryptonite does happen to be vet trips which makes that aspect of him a bit more challenging, but who likes the vet anyways? If you're looking for an only kitty (or a friend for another FIV or FELV kitty) Tommy is the one you've been waiting for! Apply today to meet Tommy in his foster home!
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.November 4, 2024, 11:33 am

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
