Meet Hugo! This gorgeous guy is looking for his forever home. He was trapped by HARRT after being found as a stray in great neglect. He was extremely malnourished with a persistent UTI that took a few rounds of antibiotics to kick. Thankfully he has had the most caring fosters to help him learn to live in a loving home. He has plenty of unique husky tendencies and has blossomed into such an amazing boy who is ready for his forever home!

Hugo has learned to sit, and his fosters also have him sit before eating. He is also now crate-trained and does very well here as needed. He had some destructive tendencies when he first arrived months ago now, but those have completely disappeared. He gets plenty of exercise and is kenneled when left alone and this has done the trick.

Hugo would do very well with another husky or dogs with a similar play style. He gets along well with the foster’s dogs, but his play style is a little more rough than they are used to and he will do best with other dogs that play similarly. Regular exercise, runs and walks are his favorite, and he thrives with them! He can also be adorably vocal when he gets a little frustrated, in true husky fashion.

Hugo is cautious with new people at first. He does not like overhead or fast movements, but has improved greatly. He is a lovable boy who snuggles and adores his humans once he develops trust. For someone with patience who wants to form a bond with a really special boy, look no further! Hugo would love to be your new best friend.
