Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looks like: Terrier mix
Female, 8 years old (estimated), 9 pounds
Walk smarter, not harder; that's little Winifred's motto! Why go for walks when willing humans with long legs can carry you everywhere? This sweet girl is vision impaired and prefers to be in your arms instead of exploring the world on her own, especially in unfamiliar places. She does enjoy moseying around in the backyard, though. Her warm bed is her favorite spot while soaking up some sun during a cozy nap. As soon as she wakes up, she loves snuggling, doling out plenty of kisses, following her favorite human, and asking to be held by pawing at your leg. When meeting new people, she can be slightly shy but is generally curious. She gets along well with mellow dogs of all sizes, but we do not know quite yet how she is with cats or children. At her foster home she likes to cuddle up with another pup. Winifred is fine when home alone now and then and on rides in the car she contently lays down. Winifred has grown fond of her foster sibling Jingle Belle, if possible we would love for them to be adopted together.
This 9-pound nugget of cuteness is hoping to find affectionate humans who are home most of the day, with whom to share lots of cuddles, and who are able to tote her around a bit. She would do best in a home without stairs or other unsecured drop-offs. At our clinic, Winifred had a cancerous growth removed and she is now in remission, but she will need regular medical check-ups.
Winifred came to us from the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter so that we could address her medical needs.
