My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pretty face, an adult canine with a heart of gold. This sweet, brave, and independent soul is a gentle, mellow creature with a shy yet curious nature. She is a fearful but don't let that deter you. Her bravery shines through when she's with her best friend, Hannah. They share an unbreakable bond that is truly heartwarming. Pretty face is also a treat lover, making training a breeze. She gets along well with other dogs, making her a great addition to a home with other furry friends. Despite her fears, she has an enduring spirit that is truly admirable. Her charming personality and unique traits make her a wonderful companion. Adopt Pretty face and let her bring a touch of sweetness and bravery into your life.

More about this rescue

Here at Arf-Anage Dog Rescue, our motto is "No Mom Left Behind". We specialize in moms and pups from local shelters as well as the Navajo reservation. When fosters are available, we also help with puppies that are owner-surrendered, "accidental" litters, or the last of a litter that someone just "couldn't get rid of".

Once our Mama dogs are done raising their pups, they are given time to recover then spayed, rehabbed, and made ready for forever families.

Puppies are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We orient them into a foster-home environment and begin potty training and socialization. We find them great forever homes and in case it doesn't work out, we take the dogs back and find them another loving home. We offer 80% refunds on adoption fees up to 5 days after the adoption.

In some situations, we also offer assistance to help find free or reasonable spay and neuter services for owned pets.
