Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please welcome LUCY to ARK Charities!
We saw LUCY after we rescued Linus from another DFW shelter. The two dogs, both fair-haired Shepherds, look and act so much alike that we wondered if they are related. Lucy is incredibly sweet, just like Linus. She is Heartworm positive which makes finding adoption and rescue much harder on these dogs. Many states won’t allow positive dogs to enter until completely treated. Her plight sat heavily on our hearts realizing that this beautiful girl may not have a chance to get out of the shelter and may be lost to the overcrowded system. …So we rescued her!!
Lucy is a petite golden lovey who is only 64lbs. She is as soft as silk, is affectionate and loves to be near her person. She has a foster in TX who has generously committed to taking her through her treatment (2-3months) so we can give her the long and healthy life she deserves here in CT. She will be here in time for spring and she is worth the wait!
We want to thank the awesome team at the Fort Worth Animal Care & Control and Code Red Animals of FWACC (Mel, Meghan, Brittany and Team) for helping us save Lucy and give her a better life!
Stay tuned for photos and updates from her foster Mom.
