Maybe you saw the segment on 9and10 News marking the anniversary of the huge Kalkaska rescue TC Paw did last Labor Day weekend. We rescued 38 cats from desperate hoarding conditions. Of all those cats, only three have not found their forever homes yet, and Isla and her sister Pip are two of them . Most of the Kalkaska cats followed the same pattern - frightened at first, but then they turned into lovers. That is Isla. She purrs the minute she sees her foster mom, and she cuddles easily and comfortably. She has an impressive stretch and yawn. She loves playing with her peacock feather, and she scratches on her cardboard scratching pad like a good kitty. Isla drinks water by sticking her paw in her water dish and then licking her paw. It's cute. She's a little cautious around new things and people, but she has learned to accept the dog and to realize that the resident cats are not a threat. Besides her foster, Isla's favorite snuggle pal is Pip, the cat she came in with. Sometimes they lie so close together that they look like a two-headed cat. We believe they should stay together. Take a look at Pip's page too.
