Sweetie seems to have a permanent smile on her face, as if she's just so happy to be safe and cared for these days. She was once a lost and lonely stray so snoozing and socializing in our free-roaming area is way better than that! What would be Sweetie's absolute dream-life though, is a home of her very own. She's just 1 1/2 years old and her ideal home is one where she has a sunny, breezy window to gaze out of, some comfy beds and blankets to curl up in, and even a feline friend or two to pal around with. Sweetie would do best with no young kids because when she gets enough of your attention, she may give you the old smack & thwack before strolling away. She absolutely means no harm, so don't worry about that! She's such a sweet, loving girl that would love a fresh start in a new home.

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
