1/4/24-Update:
I do believe it's time to do a Benny update.
What can I say about this big beautiful boy? He is just the best! He really has no bad habits. His only flaw is that he detests being alone. I guess he might be a covid pup. You know what I'm talking about...lets get a puppy cuz we're stuck at home, so what a perfect time to add a new family member. But, then, everybody goes back to work or school and the poor pup is left at home, all alone everyday. But...the good news is...Benny is OK if you are home a lot OR he absolutely needs another medium or large dog to be there with him. Other than that little quirk, he is absolutely perfect!
He was born Aug of 2021, so he is a little over 2 years old. If you are the active type, so is Benny. If you like a dog to curl up at your feet while you read or watch TV, Benny is your guy! He is definitely Mr. Versatility!!
Benny has more of a poodle coat so he doesn't really shed. He will, however, need to visit a groomer regularly to keep him looking his best. He does shed, but it stays wrapped up in his curls, thus the need to be groomed so his coat doesn't get all matted.
You know you'd love to know more about Benny, so get typing and ask me all you want to know about him! I'd love to go on and on about what a great dog he really is!

Say hello to Benny! He is a two year old Goldendoodle.
Benny, Benny, Benny…what can I say about this dear, sweet boy? I had heard some things, but, I tried to evaluate his behaviors myself before believing the things that may have happened in his previous homes…yes, I said previous HOMES! If I’m counting correctly, I’m home #5. Believe you me, I will be looking for his last and final home!!!
I think his birth date is 10/22. I have also found it listed as 10/23. He is still very much a puppy and needs structure to be the best guy he can be! Well, that explains a lot! From what I’ve seen so far, all he needs is someone to be consistent and fair in his training, and yes, he definitely needs some training! …but he is OH so smart and eager to learn! I would like his forever family to take him to a couple of obedience classes so they can learn with him. He will be worth it!
Benny may have some separation anxiety issues. At my house I’m retired and pretty much always home. If I do go out, I have other dogs that live here. You know the saying…he may be lonely, but, he is never alone! Lol!
Benny gets along with large and small dogs, and cats. I also have birds and he shows no interest in them at all. He is housetrained once he knows the routine. He is learning to walk nicely on a leash. I have been crating him in his own crate beside one of my Goldens with no problems. He loves toys!! Squeakys, stuffys, cheewies, bones, it’s all good!
Benny does require another dog or human to be with him at all times due to his separation anxiety. I do not have kids, but, his previous homes all say that he is good with them. From what I’ve seen, I think kids over 5 would be best. He rides well when in the car too. Benny loves to run zoomies around my fenced yard! I think having a fence would be in his best interest.
Benny is neutered and current on vaccinations. He was groomed last week and the groomer was kind of surprised at how well he did during the whole process. He is definitely a diamond in the rough!!
