Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Archie was an owner surrender. We took him to keep him from going to someone he shouldn't. Archie is available for either in-state or out-of-state adoption.
The former owner said that Archie was a shar pei/chihuahua mix. He looks more like a wire-haired terrier with a corkscrew tail. He is around a year old and weighs 30 pounds. Archie lived in a home with children and 2 cats. They said he played with the cats. Archie is a very sweet boy and loves being petted and loved on. He is now living with other dogs and has learned to play with them. Archie is a happy boy who loves toys and treats. They told us he was not house-trained but we think that was because they were not taking him out enough. He is doing well here - but no guarantees. He is otherwise well-behaved in the house and has not destroyed anything. He sleeps in a crate at night and is crated when his foster has to leave the house. He goes in his crate on his own before his foster goes to bed, but objects to being crated at other times. Archie still needs some additional obedience training. Archie must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and must have a secure, fenced yard to run and play.
Archie is healthy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He is negative for heartworms and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Archie has a $200 in-state adoption fee. His $450 out-of-state adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport, and he can be transported almost anywhere within the continental United States. He is being fostered in Texas and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Please send an email to 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this adorable little guy.
