My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max, a terrier mix reminiscent of the '70s movie star Benji, is around 5 years old. Since coming into our care several years ago, he has blossomed into quite a character. Initially distrustful and snarky, Max has transformed into a happy, goofy boy who craves attention and adores belly rubs.

Max made his debut at our last Zoom Room event and did amazingly well. He loved everyone he met and demanded belly rubs, even becoming Santa's favorite! Max plays well with most dogs after proper introductions. While he has not been tested with cats, we can arrange for testing if needed.

He is both crate and house trained, though he occasionally has accidents. We recommend using a belly band when he first moves to a new home, as he may be nervous initially. Due to his past snarkiness, we do not recommend a home with children under 15 years old or one where younger children visit frequently.

This handsome guy is ready to start his new life with someone who will give him the love and attention he deserves, ensuring his snarky days are behind him. Max is eagerly awaiting his forever home where he can continue to thrive. Should be adopted close to Virginia Beach
