Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Birdie is a loving, loyal and joyful dog. In the morning she wakes up with a cute little smile on her face, because she’s excited to get pets from her people. If we take too long to let her out in the morning, she’ll start tippy tapping her paws to show us how excited she is. She loves to chase squirrels, watch birds, chew bones, and take long naps in the sun.
She’s very friendly with people and handles herself well around children and babies. She is incredibly intelligent and very food motivated and thus can be trained to learn all sorts of commands. She’s worked with a pair of trainers since we adopted her, one of which is her dog walker, and he reinforces her training and obedience daily.
Birdie needs a kind and patient owner, who sees her for the loving and intelligent animal she is. Her new owners should be active, or at least able to exercise her thoroughly. Ideally she would not be left for prolonged periods indoors. (If you’re in the Berkeley area, we can pass along the contact info of her current dog walker Juan. He is like her third parent and they have a very special relationship).
Judging from the scars on her nose and paws when we adopted her, we believe Birdie may have had negative encounters with dogs in her past. She is fearful of other dogs, regardless of their size, and would do best as an only dog and in an environment where there aren't too many dogs around.
Birdie is microchipped, spayed, and current on shots. Her adoption fee is $100 and includes all of her supplies (her beds, many toys, kongs, lick mats, leashes, sweaters, bowls, medications, toothbrush, etc.).
If you’re interested in adopting Birdie, please contact Anderson @ 480-677-9147 or mfaase4@gmail.com.
