My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Luna (female, black and tan shepherd) and Eclipse (male, black shepherd)!! These two are absolute dolls, they love people, kids, and other dogs. They enjoy relaxing next to their humans or playing with toys.

They are both recovering from ear infections, Eclipse has flea dermititis and is malnourished. They handle baths and getting their ears cleaned and taking medication great for their fosters.

They aren't big barkers, they are crate and house trained and know some commands. They would absolutely make an amazing addition to any family.

They are a bonded pair, and relied heavily on each other while roaming stray after being dumped by their owners. They truly need a happy ending, and deserve to know humans won't betray their trust again.

They are thriving in their foster home, ear infections are improving. Eclipse's hair is coming back, and his personality is coming out.

They are great with their fosters little senior dog, house trained, quiet, and 100% good dogs.

They are hard not to fall in love with
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
