My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Porter! He's a Doberman/German shepherd mix. Fully potty trained and crate trained. Neutered and UTD on vaccinations. He is the goofiest, most loving guy who loves to play. He does well with both large and smaller dogs. He does well with his foster mom's cat too! He enjoys wrestling with playmates, going for walks, and at the end of the day he loves to snuggle. He's a social butterfly and he is fairly quiet. He loves to be with people- he enjoys being around children, elderly, and In group home for those with learning disabilities. He is a gentle giant with a heart of gold. He's also a quick learner, he knows 'sit' and 'shake'! He'd love the opportunity to get to know you!
He has an early cataract in his left eye, and drainege in his right eye but neither currently require medical intervention.

More about this rescue

Lucky Paws Midwest's goal is to work with animal shelters, animal control facilities, rescues and individuals all across the U.S. to help place at risk animals into foster homes and eventually permanent homes.

Since we do not currently have a shelter, all animals are placed in foster homes. The majority of our foster homes reside in Western Wisconsin, but we are willing to work with people all over the country!
