Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Raeki and Rexii! They are 9 month old sisters who are ready to find their forever home together!
Rexii is blind and has been since she was 5 months old. She came to us with major issues with her eyes. Her ophthalmologist believes she had a genetic condition that led to advanced glaucoma, which required surgery to remove both injured eyes. She’s been through a lot in her young life but now she and her sister are ready for her forever family!
Since her surgery, Rexii has been doing well learning to navigate her foster home and she relies on her sister to help her move through a world she can no longer see. She will chirp and call Raeki if she gets overwhelmed. She seeks out her sister for comfort, grooming, and cuddling.
Raeki is an easygoing girl who just wants to be loved. She’s a longhaired girl who is just now growing in glorious bunny soft adult coat that will be stunning. She has the cutest little quirky thing she does when she wants a treat - she’ll put her cheek down and roll over just a bit with her rump in the air and freeze and will hold that pose until she gets her treat.
Rexii loves to find a lap to snuggle up in. Rexii's foster family has working on harness training to get her out and exposed to new smells and environments but thus far she has not been able to separate herself from her foster mom and actually explore. So a potential adopter will need to be very patient with her and take things slowly possibly just visits to begin with.
Both girls are incredibly friendly and love to show off their incredible purrs. They are still young and love to play. They have done well with the kids in their foster home (ages 9 & 10), as well as other cats and kittens, and two crazy Corgis. They are also litter box trained.
These girls live life best together and need to be adopted together. Reiki has been at her sister's side every second of every day, taking care of her and showing her the way. A trip to the vet requires both of them to be in the same kennel. Rexii becomes incredible anxious if she can’t find her sister, calling for her and if she doesn’t get a response, she shuts down. Luckily, Raeki always finds her and once reunited, Rexii returns to her happy, calm self.
Are you the special family who would like to give these two precious girls their forever home? You can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@yahoo.com or apply to meet / adopt them at www.muttmisfits.com/adoption-application
They are spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
