Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Blake is a goofy pup who loves a lap to lay on even if you're sitting in an office chair he will find a way to get his big self in your lap. He loves to play tug of war, swimming, going on walks, camping and hikes. He loves the lake. He’s great at fetching sticks, but if you throw a ball he won’t get it but if you throw that stick he’s all game. He will follow you around all day. He will lay right in front of your legs when washing dishes or cooking just to be next to you.
He has always been in a home with at least one other dog so we think he would be best with one other dog or as the only dog. My two older dogs don't particularly love having a third dog & at that being a puppy who is bigger than both of them. He has lots of Lab puppy energy, loves to run, play, play with toys, play with other dogs & humans. He transitions easily to different environments, people and dogs. He is very fun, loving, gentle, protective, and can be very calm for a puppy. House/potty trained and has done a lot better with crate training. He does have separation anxiety but being crated with one of my older dogs has been helpful. In a perfect world, he would be the only dog or with one other dog (or with other animals like on a farm) with a family with children who are home often and enjoy the outdoors. He would make a great outdoor farm type dog or trained to help with hunting. Incredibly smart & easy to be trained.
Blake is a 14 month old black lab mix who was raised with two children. He’s been around them since he was four months old and as you will see from the pictures of him and the children, who are now two and five years old, they are very comfortable around him. He’s good with both adult men and women. He’s playful with other dogs, but does chase cats and squirrels. He is not Food aggressive, but does have separation anxiety when he’s in his crate. He weighs almost 60 pounds and has been through dog training classes and is good on a leash. He has all his shots, (rabies, Bordetella, leptospirosis, DAPP, lyme), is heartworm negative, microchipped, neutered, and housebroken. His adoption fee is $150.
