My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Rubi!  My coloring is called “dilute tortoiseshell” but everyone who meets me says I’m just 100 percent beautiful!

I was rescued from the streets by a kind Samaritan.  I was in very bad condition when I was found, but I’m doing great now thanks to my rescuer who took me in and gave me very good care.

I’m a very sweet kitty and love to rub against everything and anything!  I love interaction and will follow my foster mom all over the house.  While I really enjoy pets, I prefer to smell your hand and give you my permission first.  I would do best with a patient adopter who is willing to work with me and give me all the time I need to adjust.

My foster mom thinks I probably never had any toys in the past because I don't seem to know what to do with them.  I enjoy hanging out and watching TV with my foster family!  I love to do “zoomies” around the house and am an excellent biscuit-maker!

I was born in approximately March 2023, have been spayed and will be microchipped and up to date on my shots prior to adoption.  I would do best in a home with no young children — preferably adults only, or with older teenagers.

More about this rescue

Angus & Friends is a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit in California. Angus was an approximately 15 y.o. orange tabby found on death's door by people who lived in his neighborhood who assumed he had a home. He didn't, but probably did at one time, because he turned out to be friendly, though very sick. We tried to save him, but he ultimately had to be put down because he was not recovering after a blood transfusion due to flea anemia. Our goal is to help as many homeless cats and kittens as possible to get off the mean streets and find a furrever home.
