Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Jasper - a 1.5-year-old mix rescued from a high kill shelter. He is a friendly guy about 45lbs, neutered, and up to date on shots. He was heartworm positive but is almost finished with treatment and doing very well. He’s house trained and learning basic commands.
Jasper is thriving in a social environment and would love a home with a dog sibling or friends. He is pretty chill and would also do well as a single person’s best buddy. Jasper is smart and treat motivated. As a former stray, he can compete for food and treats, so should be fed separately to feel safe.
The agile Jasper can jump six foot fences. When he’s happy in his own yard, he will stay put unless he hears something interesting. But, his new family should plan the yard accordingly or rely on leashed walks. Jasper is usually quiet but can howl mournfully if left alone. He would do well with a routine and learning to trust that his people will be back.
