Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Cooper is a 6-year-old, 20 lb Corgi/Chihuahua mix with a happy, wagging tail and a big heart. Rescued by Adopt Me Rescue last December after being abandoned by his previous owners, Cooper came to us with skin issues and bald patches. With some medication, good food, and lots of love, he’s now healthy and thriving.
Cooper loves playing with toys and can entertain himself for hours with a squeaky toy—though be warned, he loves de-stuffing fluffier toys! He also enjoys going on walks. While he pulls on his leash and barks at bigger dogs, he’s very treat-motivated, and we’re making good progress with his training.
When he’s not playing or walking, Cooper is the ultimate couch potato. He loves napping and cuddling, and his favorite pastime is flopping onto his back to ask for belly rubs. If you stop, he’ll nudge you with his head or paws to ask for more attention.
Cooper does have some separation anxiety, likely due to his past, but he’s improving and feeling more secure. He’s housetrained, knows how to sit, and is doing great with training. However, because he can be possessive of high value treats like bully sticks, we recommend a home without very young children.
Cooper is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. If you’d like to give this sweet boy a forever home, please fill out an application at www.adoptmerescue.org
