My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepper has adapted seamlessly to various living environments, from apartments to farms and houses. She's a seasoned traveler, having embarked on numerous road trips across the country, always riding safely in her crate without any issues. Pepper's quiet demeanor belies her constant presence, and she remains calm and composed throughout journeys.

Her love for walks and adventures knows no bounds, and she's particularly fond of outings to parks, including the familiar grounds of Memorial Park in Houston. Growing up alongside an Alpha dog, Pepper understands the value of teamwork and harmony within a pack.

We assure you, Pepper's affection knows no bounds, and she will undoubtedly become an invaluable member of any loving family. If you're in search of a devoted companion to share your life's journey, Pepper is the perfect match. We hope to find a family who will open their hearts and home to her, providing the love and care she deserves.

Please consider welcoming Pepper into your home, where she will undoubtedly bring joy, loyalty, and endless love. Your family could be the one she's been waiting for all along. Don’t let this sweet girl spend one more night in boarding where she is scared and depressed!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

SHR will require an application and home visit for the adoption of any of our animals. The customary adoption fee is $150 for dogs $85 for cats.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Scout's Honor Rescue does not currently have its own facility to keep the animals in its adoption program. All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog or cat at their residence until it is adopted. Consider opening your home to a dog or cat in need. You become the caregiver to a precious animal – their future is in your hands! It is incredibly rewarding to know that you have given that animal the two most precious gifts- Life and Love. For many of them, this is the first kind hand they have known.
