-Has befriended dogs at the Shelter including her current canine friend Bronco!
-Not recommended to live in a home with cats
A dedicated volunteer has been taking Ella on field trips to give her a break from the Shelter. The volunteer reports: “I had Ella overnight last night, and she was such a good girl! Great in the car, slept through the night, very sweet. She liked hanging out watching tv with my husband and I. She loves chasing and playing with her squeaky toy. After our walk This morning, she has enjoyed hanging out in the yard, mostly snoozing.”

Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
