Meet "Rio" an adoringly handsome lad looking for his forever home!
One-year young Rio was rescued when he found his way into a nice lady's backyard - thin, hungry and with a collar wrapped around his abdomen! The collar was carefully removed and the rescuer decided he needed to be checked by a veterinarian to ensure no internal injuries. This sweet boy was purring throughout the exam, bloodwork and x-ray as he LOVES human attention! Rio checked out with a clean bill of health - thankfully none the worse for his ordeal. He had sustained an older scratch to his left eye yet it doesn't bother him or impede his activities in any way.
Rio is neutered, vaccinated, tested, microchipped and is now ready for his new forever home!
A day in the life of Rio:
I really look forward to my meals and chirp and talk excitedly to my humans. I'll follow you anywhere yet if you're busy I happily spend time looking out the "big boy window" watching birds and vibrant leaves as they fly through the sky! It's very exciting when I spot a moth or fly that has happened to make its way inside the house. They don't stand a chance - as I am very observant and love to play :)
My foster mom says I have beautiful markings and a spotted tummy! I'm very affectionate, well mannered and enjoy attention and petting. I am a social kitty, talkative and (as mentioned earlier Emoji) love to engage with people. Other cats might be okay or perhaps a dog but my kinship is with humans. I have a lot of love to give and will provide loving companionship in a forever home of my very own. Could that be yours?
