Peanut Butter!

Meet Peanut Butter, a 1.5-year-old Shepherd mix with a heart full of joy and a love for fun! Peanut Butter arrived at YHS in December, along with her sister Paulina and two other dogs, after their previous owners were over their pet limit. Although Peanut Butter was initially unsure about attention, she quickly discovered how wonderful pets and treats can be.

Peanut Butter and Paulina are daily favorites on their walks with the public, always eager to soak up affection and make new friends. Peanut Butter has a particular fondness for playgroups with other dogs and absolutely delights in splashing around in the doggie pool with her furry pals. While they were used to an outdoor lifestyle, they've adjusted well to kennel life and she would love a new home with a large fenced-in yard where she can run and play to her hearts' content. Just a heads up-Peanut Butter is all about spreading love and joy, so she's not into guarding, but she's definitely into making friends!

If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.
A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known.
