Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Belyash!
I am seeking a family that will give me time to warm up and come out of my shell. I have spent my first year of life with my family in their home and backyard. Since I was not exposed to a lot of things I can find loud noises and quick movements scary at first. When I meet new people in the house I can be shy at first. Have them offer me some yummy treats and I will take them and realize they are safe to me. Since I'm a little nervous I need to have a crate available in the house for me to escape to when the situation feels overwhelming. I go in there to assess the situation and emerge when I am ready for more interaction. I'm still learning how to walk confidently on leash when out and about. I startle easily and try to run away so a secure fitting harness is a must.
I love to run around and play with toys and people (once I know them). After playtime, you can find me snuggling with people or chewing on bones. So far I haven't met a toy, ball, or bone I don't like. I'm a pro at dragging everything out of the toy boxes and spreading them throughout the house though I'm not really interested in learning to put my stuff away. Haha.
I really like other dogs of any size, it's all playtime and cuddles. It has been reported that I am good with cats and other small animals. My foster mom doesn't have any in the home so she can't vouch for that.
You can watch my journey on both IG and FB at Smorepuppies. Megan is available to answer any questions and arrange a meet and greet by emailing meoates65@gmail.com
