My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Princess Pocahontas is a sweet lady who gets along well with other dogs and is friendly with people of all ages. She was born in January 2023 and weighs about 35 lbs. She has plenty of energy to go for long walks and enjoys getting in her doggy pool. Pocahontas likes to run and play. She tends to bond tightly with another dog and likes to stay close to her dog or her person. She isn't timid, just seems to be happiest when with the dog (or person) she likes best. She even tries to be the caretaker of her favorite dog if needed. She is affectionate and eager to please. Pocahontas could be the princess in your royal teepee.

Go meet their pets

More about this rescue

Formed in 2008, Cinderella Pet Rescue was established to rescue animals from abuse, neglect and abandonment and to help prepare the for adoption. Additionally CPR promotes spay/neuter to reduce the serious homeless pet crisis in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. An all volunteer organization, there are normally between 55 and 65 dogs at our no-kill shelter as well as a couple dozen cats. Even more pets are placed in foster homes in preparation for adoption. Not funded by anyone, Cinderella Pet Rescue counts on donations and fundraisers to support the needs of the animals in care, from food to veterinary treatment. More volunteers and foster homes are always needed.
