My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*housebroken
*loves people
*loves to play
*good on a leash
*only confident cats
* good with non-reactive dogs
*lots of energy loves to run
*no kids under 8

Daisy spent some time of her early life in a high-kill shelter where she had been found starving in the streets. Later on, she was adopted off the shelter's euthanasia list by an elderly man in his 90s. However, Daisy was too energetic and active for him to manage. Her owner tried to rehome Daisy without luck as all the shelters and rescues were full. We were full as well, but received a call to rescue Daisy while the she was at the vet's office, moments away from being euthanized for a second time! We couldn't say no to this special girl, and boy are we glad we didn't.

Daisy is a well-behaved dog, although she has a penchant for the taste of good dog beds. She loves to cuddle and play and has been tested with cats and deemed unbothered by confident felines who don’t run away. Daisy does great with nonreactive dogs. However, NO DOG PARK FOR HER! AS you should with ANY dog, proper introduction needs to be taken seriously. Daisy enjoys being indoors near her humans or playing outdoors with other dogs and humans.

Daisy has not had much socialization with young kids other than getting treats from our founders and sole caretaker's 4 year old daughter. Daisy does get walked with our founder's daughter at her their side. So she requires a home with older children that will respect her space (8+) or no children. Daisy has done great during our 'Doggy Day Out' events. She LOVES car rides and pup cups! During an outing, she walked well on a leash while we were inside Rural King. Daisy also enjoyed getting pets from strangers and familiar adults alike, and was happy to give kisses to everyone who asked for them. Daisy needs to be fed separately from other dogs, however, she is not aggressive towards humans when it comes to food, even if something is taken away from her.

UTD on vaccines, on preventatives, microchipped and on a monthly flea and tick and heartworm pill
Daisy does not do well in apartment type settings where there are other dogs, ( people come and go frequently in apartments. Without knowing each and every dog that comes in, we don't want her to accidently get to another dog in the hall way for example ( proper introduction is what she really needs to know each dog that she could play with) .. she will not be placed in an apartment home.

More about this rescue

WHY & HOW
Let us start by telling you the "WHY" and "HOW" woofwoof fosters was created. Our founder
moved to TN in February of 2019. Since moving here, she has seen a lot of
posts on Facebook and other social media sites about missing, neglected, homeless, abused dogs, and

overcrowded shelters and rescues. Our founder and her family rented houses while
searching for a place to buy that would accommodate animals. In 2022, they finally found
a home to buy! Now that they have a home and some land, they want to do what they can
to help! The dream is that one day rescue organizations won't be needed and that all
humans will see these beautiful furbabies for what they are….. love in the purest form. It
is part of woofwoof foster's mission to make this happen.
