Introducing Copper!
Playful High-Energy Affectionate Fun
Copper’s vibrant personality is evident in his high energy levels, making him a fun and playful presence. Affectionate to those he knows, Copper forms deep connections once he feels comfortable. He will need slow introductions to strangers as it takes him a bit to trust new people and will become anxious if not given the opportunity to process the situation.
Copper has mastered crate training, housebreaking, and the commands for kenneling, place, sit, down, stay, heel, and recall. This intelligent boy is eager to please his people and is ready to continue thriving under a strong leader.
While he hasn't had experience with children, a home with older or no children is recommended to align with his temperament. Similarly, Copper hasn't interacted with cats or small animals. Slow and structured introductions will be necessary. Copper has done well interacting with other dogs, but some strong resource-guarding behavior has been observed.
This playful pup loves running, playing, going on walks, and, above all, receiving affection from those close to him. He is not a fan of loud noises and new situations. A fenced-in yard is recommended as it will allow him the space to play and run to his heart's content. Copper has shown occasional reactions to environmental factors that have been treated with Benadryl at this time. It appears he can be sensitive to certain laundry detergents/fabric softeners.
Copper is looking for an assertive and experienced owner who can provide the structure and boundaries he thrives on. He has flourished in training, making him an ideal companion for someone willing to continue implementing the tools and training program that have brought out the best in him. Copper’s forever family will have access to continuous support from his trainer.
Copper's journey is one of transformation and growth, and he's ready to share the next chapter with someone who sees beyond his uncertainties.
