MEET HEIDI!

After a few adult cats were abandoned at Diamond Lake, the kittens soon arrived. By the time we were called in there were dozens of cats. The people who were trying to care for them didn't have much money so were giving them what they could catch from their fishing trips each day. When they'd come back with their catch all the cats would be lined up on the dock anxiously waiting for their fish dinner!
Heidi is about 6 years old, has been spayed, wormed, vaccinated and has perfect litter box manners. She gets along well with other cats and we're sure will do well with cat friendly canines too, once she gets to know them.
More floof than cat, she's a tiny little thing with fur as soft as silk. She will need regular brushing to avoid matting, as its more than she can keep up with by herself. Fortunately, she enjoys grooming time so that will be more of a joy than a chore for both of you. Because of her hard times, she can be a bit shy at first with new people. Give her a little time to learn to trust you and she's the sweetest, most friendly little girl you'd ever want to meet. Once you earn her seal of approval, she loves being picked up for a nice long cuddle. Having always been with a lot of cats, she will be happiest with a feline companion or two in her forever home. If you don't happen to have one on hand, she has lots of buddies at the shelter who would love to accompany her home.
