Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************
We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.
Margaret, 1 year old, spayed female, pitbull/pointer mix, 28lbs.
Margaret is in a foster home in Houston, TEXAS and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up!
Although Margaret is a young dog, she is ALL puppy when it comes to her playful, spunky personality! She has lots of energy and loves playing, running around outside, jumping and rolling around, and any and all toys. She is outgoing and boisterous, and has never met a stranger - everyone is a friend she just hasn't met yet!
Margaret lives with a resident dog who is about her same size but we would advise slow introductions since she does not pick up well on cues when the other dog is through playing. She can hoard her toys and is fed away from other animals.
We have no history of cats. Margaret has been around older children (ages 9-14) and has done well but does not have any sense of personal space, and tends to jump and play bite. For this reason, we would not suggest any very young children.
Since being saved from the City shelter, Margaret has been learning and improving upon her manners and training, including leash skills, crate and house training. She still has improvement to go with her potty training but has had a few accidents in the house. She is crate trained but does not go in on her own and will whine or bark initially. Margaret is crated at night and when unable to be unsupervised.
Margaret shows incredible potential to be a loving companion and would best thrive in a home with a dog companion to guide her through picking up on and responding to social cues, a home with a yard to run and stretch her legs, and an active adopter who is willing to train . Margaret's foster has been working with her on basic commands and notes that Margaret is a quick learner, treat motivated, and has strong recall. She's learned sit and stay so far. For your effort, Margaret is always willing to be your shadow!
***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. ***
